Real quick, and I will update later...

Week 17 Costa Rica
p4c800E - 1010 bios
3:2 mem, 2.5-4-4-7 (have not worked on mem timings at all)
1.575 vcore (of course, Asus overvolts so who knows...)

300 would not boot into windows. 301 did and I was there for about an hour... much more tweaking is needed that is for sure!!!
Should be good with the OCZ 4000 I should have next week.

Will update more laterz!

pins??
how were they??
just rcvd my 2.6 OEM from them...
it went right back...
this time the pins were beyond credit cards, pins, tweezers ect
they were smashed!
are they pulling these from rigs that dont sell?
they dont have that NEW look to them
so far yours looks to be great
have fun!:-)

well, this is a great cpu... I am trying to get cooling on everything I can to make sure that it will be the cpu that is limiting me now.... I just modded my TT Tiger fan to fit the hs on the p4c800e, so mow I have a little active cooling going on... gonna start pushing her again....

Pentium M has 479 pins....supposed to work on Granite bay though!!

A 2.5P4M will be good as they are D1 stepping.

P4M and Pentium M are different..no?
I was checking the socket layouts out on the Intel site and they have extra pins....

ThugsRook

okay my 2.4c from outpost arrived--had 78 bent pins-

initial test--> would boot up up to 306 fsb (6 fsb higher than my Malay ) using only 1.55vcore..i think this will make a good processor for my future plan of getting a prommy..:)

my OCZ pc4000 GOLD 256x2 also came---damn thing wouldnt boot up at most relaxed timing beyond default.i kept getting long BEEPS....:( going to RMA or might try black mushkin 3500 high perf. ..

I regret sending mine back-the pins were SMASHED (beyond an attempt-one broke off), so it was more than likely the ultimate gem!
\have fun men!;)

anyone got a pic of these bent pins 70+ ? i had 1 bent pin on my 2.8C but 78+ i can only imagine

ThugsRook
08-14-2003, 05:15 PM
it would only take about 15mins to fix 70 bent pins.

the great part is that you really dont even have to look at the chip to fix it ~ the tools do most of the work for you.

im glad outpost.com still ships their processors without proper packaging.....:)
**cough,cough...***always got a good reason when RMAing.....

Scoundrel
08-15-2003, 03:59 PM
Do they ship them in normal envelopes or something ? bending cpu pins is just WRONG:look:

Duvie
08-15-2003, 04:07 PM
You would think they would have seen all the reports at all the major forums and cleaned up their act....Better off just going into fryes and buying one not bent up...

The reason they come bent from outpost is because they don't snap the CPU in the OEM plastic case. They just lay them in there so they rattle around..LOL.Someone needs to talk to the shipping person.Ok,who's gonna call them up.:na:

i just blow really, really, hard. It isn't too bad until you pass out and hit your head on the HSF. :rotflmao:

Seriously though, I use a Swiftech MCX 4000 and Panaflo 92 mm M1, I have a TT Tiger fan on the Northbridge, a few Panaflo case fans and one more Panaflo on a Zalman bracket over the vid card and NB.

Got it in last week. I am running 280 fsb and 1:1 at the moment. I have had the 3 busiest weeks of my life (it seems) the last 3 weeks, but hopefully will get to tweaking this week.
