I have a P4 3.2Ghz CPU (skt487) and it gets so hot! 69C during videogaming.

which HSF would you recommend?

prefrebly one that is also compatible with AMD64 (skt939) cpu too, becuase im planning on changing in the near future.

i wont be overclocking too and i have a Wavemaster case.

thanks!

try the Thermalright XP-120 if you want. It cools well and can use a 120mm fan. It works on almost every socket type.

Wow, even for stock cooling 69F is a bit high isnt it? But yeah, go with either the Thermalright XP-120 or XP-90. The XP-90 is smaller and may fit better and cools better with the proper fan.

Definately - what thise guys said sounds good.

In the meantime, if you have to wait for it - take your current one off, clean it real good with alcohol - the top of the CPU too - then reapply JUST A LITTLE DROP, THE SIZE OF A BB OR A SMALL PEA of Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste. I used to make the mistake of putting too much on - the AS website specifically says that VERY LITTLE is needed for ideal heat transferrence.

You may have already known all that, but I figure it never hurts to mention it...

Good luck man.
