Here is an interesting read but didn't feel it was worthy of being "News" for the fornt page.


DDR2 memory tests, which we have performed earlier, showed that its higher latency is exactly the reason why it gets defeated by the regular DDR SDRAM. However, now the situation is changing. The leading memory manufacturers offer DDR2 modules with improved timings, which make DDR2 look completely different from what it used to be.

It's not you bud. It was my link. It's fixed now :thumb: . Thanks to BB for posting it as well.

I posted from work and due to their internet policies about accessing non-work related sites I was using a proxy server. I forgot and posted the link that came from the proxy server. Devious little proggies these proxy servers are :D

Interesting read..... makes me feel better about switching to DDR2 :) Sure gonna miss those 2-2-2-5 timings though :cry:

wow, best article ive ever read. confirms quite a few things ive been preachin over the years. however... ddr400 can do even better then they are claiming. a simple example would be ddr433 or ddr450 @ c222, which is very doable.
