eMachines has a notebook with the 15.4" widescreen with the 2400+ t-bred mobile and ATI IGP320m my 900z has link (http://www.emachines.com/products/products.html?prod=eMachines_M5310) The IGP320m is not for gaming as it struggles with Ghost Recon at resolutions above 8x6 with low game settings, although it plays QIII HL/CS that type of older game well. It's great for battery life and DVD, DIVX playback, all 2D stuff looks great too. Best buy has it in black for approx. 1120$ shipped
MicroPro lets you config one with up to the 2500+ mobile but then couple it with PC133 completely laming out  link (http://www.micropro.com/sysitem.htm?item_id=KIT-SYS-296&product=&sub=&stcat=Computer%20Systems&vw=std)
HP/Compaq has the largest selection still but none of the notebooks are targeted at anything but business users since they offer the IGP320M.
Sony has a Viao with a 16mb G4 420 GO-V which would be better than the IGP320M but still a poor damned excuse for a gaming GPU and 2000+. In the final analysis, There is absolutely no reason someone would or should choose a AMD based notebook over the Centrino or P4-M based ones at this time as you already know, or should anyways :p
