We have a new computer here at work (the one I got folding on, he he) Dell GX280, celery 2.5, XP pro SP2.
I cannot log into my Bank website to access my account....works fine on the win98 machine here (same ISP)....worked fine on the NT SP6a machine that we replaced....works fine on W2K SP4 from home....works fine on XP SP1 and 1a...from my buddies house.
The more I type the more I think I am answering my own question......their website must have an issue with a computer running SP2 :smash: ....anyone have any insight into this?
Any thoughts on the above greatly appreciated.
:irk:
I doubt that it is SP2. I have no problems with any of the hundreds of machines logging into any sites. The one thing it can be, SP2 installes it's own firewall. Go into Control Panel, and select the firewall and turn it off and try again. Let me know.

Firewall is off, and Norton Security is disabled.....The other oddity is that it authenticates to my business bank account at another bank.....it has to be an issue with my personal banks website.....I think,

I had the same thing with my banking website. It was a simple security settings issue - try allowing cookies from that website. It fixed my problem.

Well Joe......You da man....I guess,
Unfortunately I did 2 things....I did what you said in your post, but then I also went to the home page of the website and followed all the links (like 3) to get to the online banking login and poof...it worked ....so they may have changed something and by going through all the steps the browser got the correct URL or your settings worked.....nonetheless its still a Victory !!!!
Thanks again :)
