DDR Booster, Universal 3.3v mod

Will the ddr booster work on my gigabyte 8IPE1000MK board? cant see it in the compatiability list anywhere, cant change vdimm in bios so ddr booster would be gr8 to use, as long as it dosent fry my board!. Otherwise thinking of trying universal 3.3v mod. My ram is 2*512 kingmax 3700 hardcore

anyone had any good/bad experiances using this mod? would the phoronix mod work without psu sense mod? dont fancy moddin my psu just yet
