Help w/ HL2, PLEASE !!

:help: I am stuck....still in the canal area and I am in this room with a grate and a ladder that goes down to a pool of water and there is this big round hole with a red glow in it that I assume is the way I need to go. I say assume because I go up the ladder jump onto a suspended pipe, walk on it around to a landing then I can go through a hall to the next room but it is full of pipes and I am up way high. I climb down a ladder to another pool of water but everything is grated off, I can see some steps and a door on the other side of the grate but I cannot get there for the life of me. I hope you can understand where I am from this "description" :bonk: and offer some advice :bow: I am not real good at these games, lol managed to figure it out this far but now I am stumped and going :coocoo:

Without giving too much away, go to the far end of the room with the pipes and you will see a pipe beneath you that you have to navigate to by jumping several times, there's a valve on it that you need to turn...I'll let you take it from there:wave:
