When watching any kind of video, no matter what media player i'm using, about 20secs into the video the video freezes and the sound skips right before the program closes. Any one have any idea what it could be? I have WMP9 (cant install 10 cause Im not using not Windows XP...), Quicktime, the VLC Player and Divx. I have no third party codecs and Ive done nothing, this problem just appeared out of no where. One minute Im watching DVD's and streaming video fine, next minute this problem pops up with me doing nothing to cause it. It first happened in Quicktime when watching streaming video off the internet. Any help would be good  thanks guys!

Drive space low, or clean out the Temporary Internet Folder.

Just to kinda update, its now doing it with music now...could it be hardware? If so, how come all the media worked fine up until a couple of weeks ago? No matter what I uninstall/re-install, it still happens...could it be a messed up Windows file? I just did a Windows repair like 4 days ago (as of posting this). Im stumped on what it could be as well as frustraded :beat:

I had a similar problem that started with the media player after uploading a digital home movie. It seemed to later spread to movies and music. I had heard that it may be related to your overclock (I could not locate any viruses).

I found a new driver for the sound card that claimed one of the fixes was this very problem (or so it sounded) but sadly I was not able to test this new driver out before the problem went away by itself.

I would look for a newer driver and see if one of its fizes includes problems with sound.

Well, I have all updated drivers and the only thing overclocked is my CPU, and its just by 200mhz. I dont know what it is as of yet, Ill keep trying.
