Since I know I'll be drunk and bored soon I've decided to test an idea. I am going to break out my old Dual PII system and use it as the guinea pig for possibly my stupidest idea ever.

I intend to coat my motherboard, vidcard, cpu, and ram in a solid layer of Liquid Electrical tape. I will then connect the external and internal connection cords and coat the connections in LET as well. Then I will mount the CPU, GPU, and Mobo in the freezer of a minifridge. And mount the hdds in a case on top. I'm curious about what will happen if no water vapor exists to condense on the chips...Will my insane idea work or am I just sentencing an antiqued system to death???

I don't know...But soon...I will...

I'm just really curious and after all I'm going to test it with a dual PII 400 board so loss risk is minimal...If it works though *drools* I'll run it with a 2.6c and 5900 Ultra setup...I think I need more of the liquid electrical tape though...

I figure everything is worth a try right? I mean freezers have an ambient temp of what 0 degrees F? Nice base to OC imho...

I read on some site where someone had done this, can't remember where though. They used some spray isullater paint for protcecting the mobo and taped off the socket, ram and slots they inteaded on using. I think they did have a improvement on there over clock too.
