I'm having a problem for installing winXP pro on my new rig.When WinXP setup is copying files to the partition,i noticed that it hang for a while during copying the files name "driver.bin" before it can continue.After copying those files,system reboot rite?Ok , then the problem just started.on the windows setup screen,it suddenly came out a blue screen saying that :

Wat is it???can anyone help??Been tried again and again but still failed...

driver.cab is a big file, mine also hangs while copying that file...is your system OC'd when your installing the OS?

yep, the driver.cab file always takes a little while to copy....
If you are not OC'ing you could have a corrupt installation media, have a serious problem with your harddrive or other component or are using an ripped version of XP.

Try swapping your gfx card for something else, I've seen this on my brothers rig too (maybe not the exact BSOD you'r getting) with a GF3 TI500, once i popped in a old card installation continued, and there were no problems installing the gf3 once windows was installed.

You mean you hotswapped the videocard during installation!!!!!!! :o :eek: :smash: :deviltail
