Updated CPU micro code (0F12H/2EH, 0F13H/05H)
Fixed the problem that no effect during POST if change "Delay IDE Initial" in BIOS setup.
Added function to automatically detect the IRQ availability and dynamically update assignation table in PnP/PCI configurations setup page.
Revised the wording of IEEE1394 controller in PCI device listing.
Fixed the problem that DOS4GW.EXE causes system hang-up in DOS environment.
Added function that automatically detects CPU operation speed after discharging CMOS data.
Added SATA RAID 1 function for Intel ICH5R south bridge.
BIOS Compile date: 7/11/2003.

new bios are out of IS7 as well :)

managed to get 16 bios for IC7 and uploaded to http://fileshosts.com/IC7/bios/ :D

Does it fix the 255 ceiling for memory at 1:1? Don't see that mentioned.

since it doesn't mention the fix i doubt they actually fixed it as they would say so..

half my benchmarks went faster and the other half went slower.
stability is not better then v14 for me.
(could be worse but i didnt bother checking)

im gonna stay on 14.

according to OPPAINTER the 16 bios for IC7 doesn't fix the >255mhz 1:1 memory limit bug :(

If you are running a Raid 0 off the ICH5R with true SATA drives from Maxtor----bios 1.6 will not detect your array.

Flash back to 1.5----all is well.

Major bug and Abit has been informed----they told me today "they are working on it.".
