That clockgen, I was thinking about trying it, but does it override BIOS settings like voltages and the FSB:RAM ratios and such?

Also, if I saved a speed that was too fast, and it wouldn't even POST, wouldn't I be screwed? Cause it seems like 265MHz FSB is pretty stable, but even 1 MHz above that will not POST.

But if it doesn't even boot up, resetting the CMOS wouldn't change anything since I didn't set the BIOS anyt differently... IT's be within Windows, which I couldn't even enter.

clockgen program talks directly to the clockgen.
hitting the insert key or making a change in bios reverts it.

Ahhh ok, cool. Thanks, I think I'll go try it now.! :D

I am very impressed with Clockgen... I installed it on my P4P800D and am now running 3.62. This is scream'n fast... If you blink you eyes you won't even seen Excel, PowerPoint or Word load.

The highest I have been able to get on my 2.8c is 3.55... so I am happy with the 3.62. My goal has been 3.6 and I have passed it.. not by much... but I am there.

Cheers,
Sweeper

Unfortunately, my experiments with ClockGen got me no where... :(

clockgen doesn't work for IC7 but setfsb partially works on IC7

You know guys... what I really can't figure out is how this works. You check Si-Soft Sandra or My Computer and it shows what is set in the system Bios. HOWEVER, when I activate Clockgen my PC acts like it is on steriods.

Now CPU-Z reports the change... but I would expect that since I got both from the same web site. I guess it is really not important how it works... just that it works.

I've got it set up now where it automatically loads into Windows at boot up. So far... so good.
