View Full Version : How do I get my 9800np to stop lying?

PR, that is most weird, but here is something, have you tried the card on any OS other then W2K03 ES?

PR, very weird, I hate to pass the buck, but have you tried asking this over at rage3d? ? ? There are many fanATIC guru's over there. . .

Only other thing that comes to mind, is the correct BIOS installed on your card? ? Maybe it was flashed with the Pro's version.

But should it work if the wrong bios is flashed. Since I purchased this open box I would not be surprised if a person tried to mod the card. I'm sure that by having 3.0ns RAM and only 15,366 3DMark2001SE Build 330 score with a non-oc'ed system would denote that this card is a 9800np. Yes? :confused:

And yes, rage3d is my next stop. :)

Thanks Hawk! That confirms all my suspicions. I'm happy with my card-I'm not a gamer so not being able to oc past 330 is not a big deal to me. :)

strange i have a Gigacube 9800NP here and mine and all others who have this card report their cards at 9800PRO @324/580

Strange. I wonder what is going on to make it possible for us to have Pro at np prices. :)

BTW: How's the IQ with the GA version? My ATi version is unbelievable. I finally had to sell my 8500DV card because the 9800 was putting the 8500dv to shame.
