The new board came with the new nb fan :)
my question is...
do i need to retest for stability all over again...
i.e. run 2 x prime95? i really don't want to if i don't have to :)
also: gold dragon pc3700 didn't error out in test 5 in dual channel mode like it did on the nf7-s
currently running 234 (with the 5:4 divider) @ 2.5-3-3-7
i think eva pushed his to 245 @ 2.5-4-3-7 @ 2.85 volts...
if i can get to 300 mhz fsb on this thing... then yeah... it'll be good! :)

cool...
okay...
so can someone explain what sort of GAT settings I should be using?
I tried setting it to turbo @ 234 mhz but no boot with 2.5-3-3-7 @ 2.8 vdimm volts....
should i try 2.5-4-4-8? @ 2.8 vdimm volts and see if that boots up?
Shim,
Glad to hear you got your new board back from RMA.
You should set everything under the GAT to Auto and start from there. I would set your ram timings to 2.5-7-3-3 first to test out 3:2 ratio, and see how far you can push your FSB and CPU to the max. Also, you may need to disable the TRDA and CRC settings under the GAT if your FSB is higher than 275+.
Good luck, and keep us posted.

chances are no GAT will work for you at your speed.
northbridge strap will also not function below 800.
you might even have to disable "Command Per Clock".
use 2.8v right from the start.
the IC7 only has 2 functioning vdimm settings anyway ~ 2.7v and 2.8v.
use bios v14.
HTH :)

does GA not work with the 3:2 divider on the ic7?

AFAIK ~ GAT does not work with any mem ratios, only 1:1.

i thought it worked on the ic7... hence why i got it!!! :O

you are confusing GAT with PAT/MAM.
your PAT is enabled by default.

OOOH...
now it all makes sense :)
also if a stick of ram is rated
2.5-7-3-3 @ 2T
how do you do that? the 2T part.. or can you even do that on the IC7?

i think the GAT controls the 2T/1T command in there somewhere.
im not sure cause i dont run any software that can check that.

anyone know?

I don't think you can change it. Which is probably not good for me either. I think my RAM is rated at either 2T or 4T, but it's always set to 1T when I check it in Sandra memory bench.. perhaps that's not good?

I tried a bezillion different settings at 5:4 and GAT only functioned at "AUTO"
in other words ----disabled
Abit's cute way of saying you don't have that function
