Well in the 754 arena, I dunno that you will find better then the DFI frankly, considering the vast amount of reviews and people experience ...I would tend to believe that you got the best 754 board as we speak and an excellent if not the top o'clocker. It would seem the board is not to blame for the failure in this case...

Only thing to find out now, is DFI anywhere close to OCZ in terms of customer service? That I dunno. I certainly hope so, and hope that you get a replacement board very quickly.
Actually this might provide us some insight as to their customer service performance, might as well make good out of a bad experience. Let us know how it goes if you go the rma way.

Cheers.

update:

bad bad bad bad news

turns out it wasn't the psu... psu works...

but something happened that took out my mobo, cpu, AND video card...

ram is fine though and so are the rest of my components...

talk about bad luck...

yup

lost my dfi ut 250

lost my 3400+

lost my x800

i think the board caused the problem... but its purely speculation

i put dielectric grease into the cpu socket so it couldn't have been from that.

agp slot?

i didn't even consider that...
