Someone I know downloaded a warez version of Doom 3 and could not finish the game. I won't tell you exactly what happens, cause I don't want to spoil the ending, but let's just say that so many bad guys come out at the end that there is no way to kill the final boss character -even in God mode.
After installing a store bought version of Doom 3 "Mr. X" was able to kill the final bad guy and finish the game -the number of monsters that had to be eliminated were greatly reduced. The big question: Is there code in Doom 3 that can detect a cracked game and make the ending unplayable -it would not be beyond the skills of John Carmack and the folks at ID software.. :deviltail
