I've recently purchased parts for my new system. Here are the parts.
MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum
AMD Athlon64 3500+ (939)
(2)OCZ PC3700 Dual Channel 512Meg for total of 1Gig
(2)Maxtor 300Gig SATA w/ 16meg Cache
Radeon 9700Pro (I've had for awhile)
Antec NeoPower 480
Koolance Watercooled Case
LiteOn DVD-RW
LiteOn DVD-ROM
Here is my problem, I can start the system up and change options in the BIOS and restart the system for a few minutes after I initially turn it on, but after that if I do a soft reboot, or save and exit out of the BIOS I get no display and have to turn the system off then back on. After about 10 minutes of doing this there will be no dispaly at all and I have to let the system sit for awhile before trying again. I've swapped everything out excpet the powersupply, processor and VGA, I know the VGA works becuase I took it out of a functioning system that I've had for awhile. I've tried a unplugging everything and turning it on but it doesn't help, I've tried different memory and failsafe BIOS settings, I've also tried the correct memory timings and a USB keyboard. The only conclusion that I can come to is that my Powersupply is either bad or can't supply enough power for the unit. Does this sound correct or is there something I'm missing here. Oh this is the 2nd MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum board I'm on, I thought it was the board but it wasn't. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

:welcome: to the BleedinEdge dakkonsier

First: I'm moving this thread to the AMD Motherboard forum where I think your needs will be better served.

Second: Were you at all able to monitor your temps during the time your board was functional? Were you able to run memtest86 to check your RAM's functionality? Are you running a seperate line to your ATI 9700 that is not Y'ed off of a hard disk or floppy drive? Just a few questions that you'll be asked; if after going through some scenarios over there, it looks like a memory issue (which right now it doesn't) we'll get the OCZ experts involved to help you solve your issues

Well I figured it out. I didn't want it to be my VGA but I was figuring it was so it was the last thing I checked. For some reason my Radeon 9700 Pro and my MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum don't like each other. I've tried all the settings in the BIOS Auto, 4x8x, 4x, ect. I've also tried unhooking my my floppy and just pluging my video card in and it sill didn't work. I'm getting a new powersupply today and seeing if that fixes that problem but I'm doubting it. THanks for the help.

May be the PSU. Seems the neo power has two seperate rails. You need a PSU with at least a 30A rail ;)
