Anyone else order the new NB fan?

I ordered mine and it's supposed to be here today!

I'll try to take pics and stuff of it.

I've been reading that it's super quiet and is much better than the plastic fan that comes with the rev 1.0 ic7/g

Does any know if it will fit with the Zalman Passive cooler on the vidoe card? Mine looks like it actually is over the NB fan just a little but.

Nope, I use the P4C800-E Deluxe, but I am curious if it helps your setup in any way. . . ;)

Well that's a put down. The current fan sucks, but you'll have to buy a replacement.:look:

It looks like excaliberpc.com will guarantee the new NB for your board, don't know if this will cause a delay in getting it though. That, or you can exchange the board once the new ones come in (bleh!).

He's what someone form excalibur wrote to me:


You will just get one IC7 equipped with one new version of chipset fan. The replaced old version one, if any, will just be thrown away after replacement.

So if they have a mobo with with the old NB HSF, they replace it for you, otherwise you just get the newer version of the board...
