That's a budding artist who's going to become rich and take care of me someday...;)
PF, it's a very nice desk, but unfortunately it's downstairs now...I've replaced it with a larger one. The main problem is because the desk curves toward you, it isn't suited for a multi-monitor setup like a straight one or one that curves away from you. :( I refuse to get rid of my old one tho, it's a nice desk...:)

Actually, the entire right side bottom shelf is full of Fuji 50 pks, I think there's about 900 on that side. Note the bottom left shelf. There's a few Fuji 50pks and a couple of 100 pks of unbranded T-Ys in there, that's about 300-350 more. I'm set for a while, and I got them all for around $3-5 per 50 with various (mostly Bust-Buy) rebates . All the rest are el-cheapos to burn stuff for my wife except for the 150 Kodak Golds for archival purposes.

I planning to refurnish my bedroom/pc room completely once i find the time.. it's a very messy and small room :(
the room is a 3.5m x 4.5m room with a single bed and two 1200mm (L) x 750mm (W) polished steel T frame restaurant desks side by side length wise with 220+ anime dvds, cds and disks stacked up on the desks
also 3-4 pcs (2x PC60USB, Atlas 201S, Chieftec AX01-SLD) + 2x APC BackUPS ES 500VA and 1x APC BackUPS 650VA + Netgear GS104 switch, ADSL modem/router are in the same room!
There's only enough room for 1 person in a high back leather chair :D
Going to move one of the desks out and move a storage cabinet in to put all my dvds, cds, and pc spare parts and memory in :D

My desk here in my dorm room. I keep my desk/room clean most of the time. My roommate, less so, that's his mess on the right. That's only a small portion of my books. There's quite a bit on the window sill, and I have most of them at home on my bookshelf.
Unfortunately the furniture is bolted down to the floor, otherwise my desk wouldn't be anywhere near my roommate's.
That is a Shawshank Redemption poster to the right. :yup: Took me a couple years of searching to find one.
At home I have a nice 9'x2' desk. :)

Doh! meant to type that the poster on the left.
Hawk, not a curl bar, we've got a pretty nice weight room here, so no need for one in the corner. It's actually a sword, made of duct tape, carboard, and a dowel. My friend and I thought it would be funny to go to a Halloween party as a pair of pirates fighting each other.
Unfortunately they're not just regular bolts holding down the desk. I could get the proper bit to remove them, but it's an expensive bit.

subwoofer under the monitor????? that's an odd place for it...doesn't it affect your monitor when the volume/bass is up? not to be a dick or anything, but that's not a very good spot for a sub either...should be on the floor near the corners of a room ideally.
Snafu
05-01-2005, 04:53 AM
Couldn't find a van to recycle one from
I never have the volume up high enough to interfere with the monitor. I didn't get the system to play it loudly. That's what the stereo is for. BTW the sub is in the corner as is the whole system.
Donkeypunch-_-
06-08-2005, 02:31 PM
I was thinking the same thing when I saw it....then again, I have bass up to the maximum all the time.
I'd imagine the desk would rumble/have a noticeable vibration to it. Also, I would think the accoustics of the sub would sound incredibly different. It does look nice and clean though ;)

subwoofer under the monitor????? that's an odd place for it...doesn't it affect your monitor when the volume/bass is up?
Well I retract my words. I never noticed a problem before but I tried with teh bass up higher and the screen does flicker - you're right - can't be good to have the bass too high.
could have an interesting effect whilst gaming however...blurred vision due to massive explosions? :yikes:

It has been getting pretty darn hot in there lately, had to take down two netburst rigs down cause they were just pushing out too much heat. I would literally be sweating with in ten minutes of sitting down. Winter can not get here quick enough.

I have a few pictures of my PC and work area. I will be adding more pictures later.
I am hosting http://www.eatoncomp.com on my web server. Click on the pictures link and browse through the slide show.
Yes, I know I suck at web design and my camera is seriously from 1994 with a max res of 1024x768. What can I say, I'm a Windows guy.

I hear ya.
About half our inventory at work are Macs. I guess they get the job done, but I don't know a damn thing about them. I have an old one under the desk, but the Mac guy hasn't fixed it yet.
Anyway, I plan on putting some old pictures up on the site, so you can check out my previous rig and other stuff.

I was going to clean it up as soon as I played COD4 for a couple of minutes that my sister got me but you can see how that worked out:o

My new computer room (it's a mess cause its under construction  ). This pic is a couple of days old and I have done a little more since.
This room has its own 15amp circuit and is wired with phone, cable and a network (future home server to be set-up in the workshop).
The panel will be covered with hand-made doors.
The holes in the walls are for running additional wiring as needed (speakers, cables, wiring, etc.).
There will be a pine 1" x 8" shelf over the holes in the walls which will be covered with another 1" x 8" (removable) plus trim to give it that classy look.
I have not decided on the trim colour but I am leaning towards an orangish hue (my desk is a darkish orange/red). Not sure about the finish on the pine whether it should be a dyed, stained or just plain.
I'll post another pic when I get the one shelf done.

Well here's some more pics of the office.
Here is the shelf I made. Now only one more to go.
http://www.bleedinedge.com/crew/snafu/General_pics/office_shelf.JPG
The panel can be removed to get at the access holes.
That orange square in the corner is the colour I am thinking of painting the trim or maybe a lighter version - dunno yet.
One day I think I might make a book shelf in that area but this will have to do for now. I want to get it finished before my in-laws visit at the end of the month.

My computer room includes a train layout (on the railroad forum, I would say the train room includes some computers)
Aint been this cleaned up in a while, will never be cleaner.
Four desktops on a kvm, MacBook lappie on the side.
MacBook dualboots Leopard and XP; Q6600 multiboots XP and Vista (soon Debian); Athlon 1800 multis XP, Debian and Ubuntu; PentIIIE duals XP and Debian, PIII is Red Hat (legacy system).
All have Apache, MySql, PHP, C++, Perl. Some have VB and Java as well.
Next toy is a 22" monitor.
