Welcome to TRIOS. The Romtec TRIOS II is a second generation high-tech A-B-C switchbox for IDE devices. The original TRIOS is probably best known for its ability to select between any one of three connected hard disk drives (HDD) at the push of a button. This allows running three separate operating systems on one machine without the complexity of setting up multiple partitions on one drive and the possibility of cross-partition corruption.

"cross-partition corruption"-why that never happens. Yes, I'm being sarcastic. :) Solaris is notorious for doing that and lately some of the Linux distros on the newer chipsets will do this as well. But three drives? I can't help but think RAID5. :)

i have the first version in my game server with 3 small drives..i find it better than using dual boot...e.g. one drive is strictly configured for hosting games(win98) -DMZ/no firewall , the other one is for general/everybody's use (winXP)- firewalled ,and the third one (winXP)firewalled for important files...im paranoid running a server with my important files in the same drive where the game program is loaded..also with dual boot, or say using multiple account/users in winxp, i dont like other users looking at my files..e.g. my kids looking at my downloaded XXX's.:)
