I like the new format Thugs!

One question tho, Is there a reason you ran the QIII benches at 1152 X 864, just seams odd?

thx!

@ 319fps how much faster do ya want it to go? hehe~

its an old "runaway" benchmark that doesnt stress the system enough anymore compared to newer games. a little more res keeps it useful.

thx for the compliments guys :-)

i know this chip isnt exactly new, and i have reviewed it before on other motherboards. i just wanted to post complete results on the IC7 for those 533fsb cpu OCers out there.

...and i wanted to have these results posted for a comparison to my next chip.

...and and i wanted to show off the new vb tags :na:

Never thought I'd see the day when one of Thug's threads dealt more with the format than the results itself....hehe :p;)

yea thats why i made the 1st post a rather unimportant retest.

the black benchmark results background was starting to mess with my eyes a bit so i inverted the fields ~ should be much easier to view now.

thx again guys for all your support

I am a newcomer here (actually been reading for some time) and wish to say that I am learning alot and you all are saving me bigtime testing. Not to under-emphasize the importance of per machine tweaking but, you guys are almost making it Plug and Play.

Thanks.

make sure you pair it up with some nice 6ns pc2700. the 5ns stuff isnt as good for our purposes.

gluck with the new board

Thugs you will find the awesome performing 6ns BH6 is long gone.I was talking to Ryan at OCZ about it and he was telling me yield from winbond is not as good as they now concentrate on 5ns and faster..this means chips binned for 6ns operation don't clock to well.

If you must have 6ns try the samsung crucial offer. It was developed for Nforce motherboards but runs well on 875/865 also. Its also the same chips that may be found on OCZ 3700 gold although they won't clock as high as they are unmodded.

A member on abx has 4 crucial samsung dimms that all do 2-2-2-5 ar ddr400+ at stock voltage.Prometheus also has 2 256Modules that do the same low timings but also hit ddr460 with ease.

in that case, you guys better buy up the good 6ns stuff while ya still can!

You need to speak to crucial and ask for the Samsung chipped pc2700.The chips use the CB3 code and are VERY fast.

You can order directly from crucial and ask for the specific ones you want?.
