View Full Version : Cant find the dividers

I have this annoying problem on my 8kda3J board. I can't find the memory:cpu divider! On my Nforce2 board it was simply 1:2, 1:3 and so on, on this board it doesnt seem to exist.

Although, i've found something that seems to be somewhat equal to that divider, its called "max memoryclock" with settings from auto,100,133,166 and 200.

How do i set 1:1 on memory:cpu ? in Cpu-Z it says i'm using "cpu/10" but i want real time performance as in 1:1 !

Set it to 200 for 1-1.
The 10 is your multiplier.

I just set it to 200 but CPu-Z still reports "FSB : DRAM= CPU/10"
+ in the bios it says "ddr 400" but i'm currently running at 230*10 = 2300mhz
shoudlnt it be 460 mhz ddr?

Well it is reporting right! ;) That is dual data rate ram. So 230x2=460.

Then you are running 1-1 @ 460 on the memory :thumb: and using a 10 multiplier

Yeah, but why does it say DDR400 in bios, why not DDR460 like it used to do at my nforce2 mobo.

When you set it to 400 (1-1) in bios, that goes off the default speed (200). When you raise your fsb (HTT) it raises the memory timings along with it. Thats the way most boards work. :yup:

What about Hyperthreading (or was it hypertransport? :P) How should i handle it when i overclock? Decrease it and then when i reach a satisfying OC i increase it (if possible) ?
Tell me how you do it when you decide to oc :P step by step

I leave the HTT at the highest setting until it craps out, then I drop it to the next setting and keep on testing.

ok, but how do i know if its htt or voltage problem when it "craps out"?

Well, thats where the testing part comes in. Trying to find out what's causing the crash is what makes it fun :coocoo: and also sometimes aggravating (more aggravating then fun I guess :beat: )
