Dear Employees:

As the CEO of this organization, I have resigned myself to the fact that Barack Obama is our President and that our taxes and government fees will increase in a BIG way. To compensate for these increases, our prices would have to increase by about 10%. However, since we cannot increase our prices right now due to the dismal state of the economy, we will have to lay off 60 of our employees instead.

This has really been bothering me, since I believe we are family here and I didn't know how to choose who would have to go.

So, this is what I did. I walked through our parking lots and found 60 "Obama" bumper stickers on our employees' cars and have decided these folks will be the ones to let go. I can't think of a more fair way to approach this problem. They voted for change ... I gave it to them.

I will see the rest of you at the annual company picnic.

Ouch, are you serious? I truly hope you didn't have one of those bumper stickers.

I take it the feeling is he has been screwing over those who elected him by not accomplishing any of his campaign vows?

Up here we just get to choose between gophers and squirrels in the elections. The gophers are manipulated and controlled by big business and their buddies, the squirrels are controlled by lobbyists for big business and their desire to make friends.

In simpler terms...we get screwed either way ;)

Just because I have canadian brothers on here i will ask...

How does that Gov. health care work for ya....??????

It does seem a bit strange that out of all the vows the President made....Most of which were stopping the war which has been totally forgotten, Health care is his # 1...

Who better to ask than Canada????

Just for the record!!! I am certainly not trying to get in a Political debate... I for one believe it is time for the US to stop the favorite football team mentality (Dem or Rep) and pull together....

But seriously, how does the healthcare work Gov. controlled???? I really don't know:scratch:

The health care system saved my arse, my firstborn spent 7 weeks in an incubator, was only 2 pounds and 6 oz. Although it is possible I would have had insurance it is possible I wouldn't as well. It really is a case of insurance in a way though, through taxes on booze and tobacco as well as through income tax. You just can't opt out is all. Speaking to a fellow in the U.S. once at a gas station I mentioned to him how lucky he was that gas, smokes and booze etc. was so much cheaper there. He gave me a dirty look and said a day at the hospital had just cost him $5,000 and that he couldn't afford insurance for various reasons.
