View Full Version : Picked up a 1700+ JIUHB for £42, but it was a D-U-T3C, DOH!

So I'm at a computer fair, see a tray of Tbred's, ask to scan em all for codes, see a JIUHB and like the consumer whore I am, buy the JIUHB in a heartbeat.
But it's a DUT3C. I'll let you know how it goes...
Teh real reason I got this is I have an 0308 DLT3C XPMW, but I have done the 5th L3 on this bugger. I still need to hardwire another L3, as I'm bunging this in a KG7 (for the challenge and I am getting married, so can't justify the cash for an NF2 v2). So this is my backup chip!
Wish me luck!

How'd you get a DUT3C if they scanned the codes and found a JIUHB?
Anyways, I look forward to seeing the overclock on that thing..
BTW, what cooling are you using?

No, I scanned the chip there and then, but failed misserably to check the voltage:beat:
I cool with air. The current setup is as follows:
AXIA Tbird@ 1.5Ghz in a GlobalWin 802. Now this 'bird is toasty, but I have her under control with a GlobalWin CAKII38 (Am I a globalwin whore or what?!:D ).
I have two TT Smart fan 2's, one on intake and one on exhaust, set to manual control. Last night I put in a blow hole on the top as I have been noticing a hot spot behind my Enermax. This has a lowly Antec 30cfm fan to just clear the build up.
Last night it was 28-30c in my home office at 10pm. The case temp was 35c and the 'bird idled at 45c. A spot of folding caused it to rocket up to 50c, but hold there. Not really fair as these ambeint air temps are out of the ordinary, but it was a good time to make the hole!

Hehe.. don't worry 50C isn't real high at all for under load and at that speed.
Post something when you get the new chip eh! :D

I put the DUT3C in and it went to 1.8 no issue, but my multiplier is holding me back.
See my new thread on my DLT3C that I have hard wired to 15.
