Cant get my 2400+ past 2.4gig

anything higher than 12x200 (example: 12.5x200 or 12x213) and windows wont start up or i get errors about the operating system (missing a file). Ive tries loosening the memory timings to 3-6-6-11 and vcore to 1.93, i havent tried at 2.0...

I am assuming you have tried to find the max of each, seperate. If not try this Link (http://www.lvcoyote.com/)
After you have done this step, then find the common ground for each to perform well with each other.
My initial set up yielded 218@11.5.
Next I did the L12 mod. 223 fsb
Downloaded merlins beta bios, 228 fsb (232 memtest stable)
Mounted a fan on the memory 230 fsb (235 memtest stable)

It seems to be a progressive project for me. In another week, I am going to order a bios savior and try the many beta's out there.
