Did you know that IBM's prediction (sales forecast) for computers was only 5 for the entire world?

I could not afford a floppy drive for the one. so we used the paper tape reader on the ASR-33 teletype :yikes:

I remember all that stuff too nutcase. My dad worked for IBM, so as a child, we had all kinds of stuff in the house. The old 8 inch and 12 inch floppys, a 300 baud modem that you would put the phone receiver into for it to work, punch cards, etc etc.

Just recently my sister and I were cleaning out the attic and I found a 30 MEG hard drive, that would easily fill two 5 1/2" bays...

Oh man, I was hoping to NEVER see one of those again!

They had 4 working ones at the college I went to, just to learn to the old programming aspect of it. :bonk:
