Small Achievement for me- I think?

I decided to download vantage and run it for the first time and it appears that I placed pretty well on hwbot, and got my first gold hardware trophy and some hwboints :rock:
I was VERY suprised even though I know that vantage hasn't yet become the main benchmarking app people are using but... Dosen't make sense seeing as their systems are clocked higher... I ran the program with all default settings etc. :scratch:

His overclock was unstable & basically failed the 2nd CPU test. ;)

Reese did you run it with the Nvidia GPU PhysX disabled? If you left it enabled the score is invalid.

So maybe that is why? Because i just ran the program as is, and made no adjustments and disabled no drivers
I'll re-run tomorrow and submit the updated score, is there an admin e-mail or something I can contact to correct the error on hwbot?

You can delete/edit your own hwbot scores Reese. :yup:

in the Nvidia control panel. If it is not then the nvidia drivers take over and do the CPU PhysX test portion of Vantage using the graphics cards GPU. It has been declared an invalid run of the benchmark and must be disabled in order to be valid.

I did delete it, but my name still appears in various sections with the hwboints, and my name is still on the list for the 8800 gts hall of fame

It takes time for the bot to adjust for changes it will clear itself up, nothing to worry about. :thumbs:

Hey :|, how come I don't have that option?

Latest Physx is installed, but no option like that, just the "Adjust image settings with preview", and "Manage 3D settings".

Do you have a program called, All Programs \ Nvidia Corporation \ Nvidia PhysX Properties? Check the Settings tab there. Also there is an option in Vantage to disable PPU which I think is the same thing?

I am using the Geforce 180.10 Beta's so that might be why it shows in the control panel.

What GFX card, drivers and OS? It shows up there in my sons PC with Ultimate 64bit and the 177.92 drivers. You might have to disable it within Vantage itself.

Strange thing is, I can play all the demos. Would that not indicate Physx driver install?

Wish I had an XP install to go by SG. I would say it is installed based on the "Installed PhysX Engines" list though.

That is just saying you have no "AGEIA PhysX Processor" installed
But you do have GeForce PhysX.

My Control Panel in Vista 32 doesn't have The PhysX option either. :(

Re ran with no hardware acc, and still scored within the top 5, so i get to walk away with some pride :lol:
right now I'm sitting 4th, but the 3rd spot is only 60pnts ahead of me so.. I'll be working for that when I get home

Just send in my next test, vantage seems to strain my cpu a bit harder than 3d06, couldnt run 3.575 yet, so 3552MHz
this will secure me #4 spot (although the number 3 guy, is at stock vid settings on a 9800 GTX- so that card is in the wrong hall of fame :irk:)
so really its #3 GTS :)

I downloaded wPrime to see what I could do with that
ran 32m (http://www.hwbot.org/compare.do?resultId=784843)
about .1seconds off a top 5 :irk: for q9300
ran 1024m (http://www.hwbot.org/compare.do?resultId=784844)
and actually got third on top 5 for q9300 :D, but when I submit my scores using wPrime Benchmark 1.55, @ IE windows pop up, one takes me to HWbot and submits my score, but the other has a 404 error and no page comes up, anyone else had a problem like this? is this why I am getting a checksum error?
anymore things I dont know about for these programs? :lol: I really don't want another embarrassment like vantage ;)

*Thanks for the PM about the G.Skill mem Ol'n, finally got me into testing with it, and at 2.0V, 950MHz, 5-5-5-17 2T got me a much higher score than 5-6-6-18, especially in 32M*

Not sure about the checksum error, may have to inquire here: http://www.hwbot.org/forum/index.php, that 404 error is normal, it used to go to another database that is no longer online as well as hwbot. If you run at a much lower overclock or stock do you still get a checksum error?

Even at stock setting i get the error.... so maybe it's not a big deal?
Does it have something to do with my changing of the threads in the advanced settings? The first time I ran the test it was obvious that wprime was only stressing 1 core, 25% cpu usage, when i changed the thread to 4, it used all 4 cores and gave me an accurate score with about 99% usage.
