setup:
NF7-S Rev 2 modded BIOS
Athlon XP-Mobile 2400
OCZ EL DC pc3200
450 watt PSU
Thermaltake Volcano 11+ Xaser Edition

ok i ran memtest with the CPU at 1.5gig (same specs at Athlon XP 1800) to avoid CPU errors and it came up with no errors...all the tests (basic and extended)
all the rails are stable on the PSU except the -12v...which gets -13.20
the modded BIOS: http://www.bleedinedge.com/forum/showpost.php?p=32047&postcount=5

I keep trying to oc to 12x200 (2.4gig) at 1.85 volts but it doesn't run Prime95 for even a minute. Prime95 gets the error: Fatal error rounded .5 (and at other time .499...) expected .4
I get the same error at 11x200 at 1.825 volts :beat: :smash:
Please help.

Well i switched the PSU with a 350 watt and the CPU is at 11x200 at 1.825 and now Prime 95 only runs for 2 mins then gets the rounding error...a little better.

-13.20 is still stable for a -12v line. Hitting the borders but still fine. Regardless, your system shouldn't use that for any overclocking, maybe standby or something.
I don't like Prime 95 to test my stabibility, because I Get those errors at stock speeds.
What power supply is this your using now? Maybe not the sufficent amps on each rail where you need them?

I switched back to the 450watt....but that one was a 350watt that came with the case. Rails were ok...

Well i try playing some games but they keep crashing...The CPU is currently at 11.5x200 at 1.95 volts (which i think is way to many) and the RAM at 400mhz.

And my CPU has the AQHYA stepping to my understanding is more power hungry than the IQHYA stepping...

Is this the 45 watt 2400+? The reason I am asking is they sell a 35 watt and a 45 watt 2400+.

I think i stabalized the overclock by loosening the memory timings....ima try to keep going with teh FSB....thx for the replies.
