Hey folks,

A friend is currently selling what he calls an ATI Radeon 8500 128MB. He claims it is not the 8500LE. I already have an Radeon 8500 64MB but what struck me as weird is that the 128MB card for sale does not have a DVI port while my 64MB card does have a DVI port.

Was the Radeon 8500 128MB sold without the DVI port?

Thanks :)

To my knowledge it was not sold without the DVI connector.

ATI's site seems to confirm this as well...

RADEON™ 8500 128MB Specifications (http://www.ati.com/products/radeon8500/radeon8500128/specs.html)

"Monitor support
*CRT Monitor: 15-pin VGA connector
*TV and VCR: s-video or composite connector
*DVI-I (flat panel display) connector"

And then looking here:

RADEON™ 8500LE 128 Specifications (http://www.ati.com/products/radeon8500/radeon8500le128/specs.html)

"Monitor support
*CRT Monitor: 15-pin VGA connector
*TV and VCR: s-video or composite connector"

Notice no DVI connector. So your friend is full of baloney and has a Radeon 8500LE!
