So my girlfriend liked my glowing computer, and wanted her Dell to be the same. So I get her a new mobo, and a nice new case and a bunch or lights. IM left with the Dell case and the lone 92mmx38mm fan in it. I play around with it and it dosnt do much. I then noticed it had a thermal control. SO i figured what the heck, and shorted the sensor. And holy crap, the air started flowing like mad. I then did some research, and found at full tilt, its moving at about 5700rpm and kicking some ~100cfm. Ill get the model number here sometime, but at the moment im using it :chit:

I hooked it up to my fan controller, and at the lowest setting its near silent and still moves a decent amount of air. I had no idea these cheap looking dell fans could be so good.

Was this case from an old dell XPS?

I have an old Dell XPS (PIII-450). Wonder if it contains some decent cooling too. Will have to upgrade it one day 'cause this is not the best PIII design and not very "upgradable". One day... :wpleased:
