I used to have SuSE Linux 8.2 Pro installed on a system with a 60 Giga IBM Harddrive. When I created partitions on this HD it showed this HD had 7476 Cylinders and 7.84 MB per Cylinder.
I just installed SuSE 9.1 Pro and to my big surprise I found out that the same 60 Giga IBM HD all of a sudden has 119150 Cylinders and 0.49 MB per Cylinder.
We are talking here about two different SuSE Linux Version and exactly the same system.
Anyone any idea what causes this change? Is this an error? And if so, which Version shows the error?
I am flabbergasted.
