been trying to do some benching this week and it is Driving Me CRAZY! :beat::beat::smash:
all under Dry Ice...
tried my Asus p5K-E and E8400...... system dies at 540 FSB!
so, throw in my E6850 and.......system Dies at 540 FSB!
so, throw in asus Maximus extreme, DDR3 and E8400... system dies at 540 FSB :irk:
and then throw in my E6850... system dies at 540 FSB! :beat::beat::beat:
only thing I did not change was the Hard disk!
it comes down to this..... I need a Break!

Nutcase with the extreme I find sometimes dropping the memory OC alot lets you get the fsb up much higher. Are you running 1001 bios?

not yet.. I was going to load the 1006 bios today after I get more dry ice.

Didn't know there was a 1006 but the 1001 will give you a 9.5 multi. :thumb:

well, I do need to take a break...
I just blew the vcore regulator out on my Maximus extreme. at the price of this mobo, that Hurt!

Wow sorry to hear that Nutacse. Any reason in particular that it died?

my fault.. was doing a dry ice run and fell asleep and when the pot warmed up, water developed on the mosfets :(

Any chance the component is replaceable with some soldering or rma? If there is no visible damage perhaps rma is the way to try.
