Has anybody tested the Socket 939 mobos w/ the PC4000 RAM? I will prolly end up getting the AMD 64 3500 and I need to know if the DDR500 RAM w/ work on these mobos...

I'm using this setup, and yes, the PC4000 does on at least the Asus A8V.

If you go with PC4000 make sure it is good quality stuff. THe ocz 3500eb is doing very well with nforce3 and it clocks very well with the 64:)

i have older ocz 3500 and its good for a fsb of 224.timing 2,3,10,2. been trying to get rev 2 to benchmark faster in 3dmark. no luck yet.setting the fsb higher and trying different settings. it gets unstable at about 236,240. i think a new bios or a rev 2 board would help here.

The OCZ PC4000 Gold Rev2 is great stuff. Works well in Asus A8V and MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum

Really? I just bought a A8V Rev 2 board because I didn't want to fork out another $400 for memory to run with the MSI board. I really wanted to try it but I did some research over at the MSI forums and the MSI board seems to be really picky as what it will run and someone over there said the OCZ PC4000 wasn't working for them? Hmmmmm maybe I should have given it a try? Do you have both and what kind of FSB can you hit with the MSI?
