I just received emails about two blocked submissions. Anyone else receive the email and fixed the problem already?
Here are the messages:
An hwbot crew member, Massman, has blocked one of your team mates ('Pointhore') scores. It has been marked as 'insufficient verification'.
This was the reason the user gave:
invalid checksum

Wprime can be a pain but I know the newest version is the only one allowed as of this year. I can't see the result so I am not sure what's wrong with it.

Like you say, you can't see the score but given that it is a 2.4gig Northwood & it got a score rated above excellent compared with all other processors, I'd say he might have just put the decimal point in the wrong spot.

:rotflmao: What a joke! Those scores were submitted directly to hwbot from within the program. They have also been up on Hwbot from june of 07.
Now they decide that they are not legit. :irk::yikes:
They should do away with that Wprime program. It,s been a piece of junk ever since the beginning.

I agree, Wprime is junk. ;)
But like ol'norton pointed out, getting "excellent" with that old cpu compared to "all other processors" does make it seem like the scores had to be skewed somehow. I never did get to see the scores, by the time I got the email they were already down.:(

One of the scores was 1st and the other was 2nd. The first place score barely beat out the guy that is in first now.
The thing that really kills me is that these same scores were questioned before and the moderater approved them by saying that the program was at fault for the invalid checksum error. You cant even submitt the scores online through the program if there is an error when running the test.
I,m waiting for all my scores to be deleted. Maybe they should check my other scores while they are at it. After all, how can I have higher scores then other people with less CPU speed.
I guess it takes the right person to complain and your scores get deleted. I never received an email about this either.

I did receive an email awhile back.
I think it was because either 3DMark score no longer valid (due to FREE app.)
or I deleted the image) ==> they could not validate score anymore.

Pinthore - hopefully harleybro can look into what can be done about this seemingly BS. Maybe be coincidence but seems they blocked your score cause it was first.
This is not the first time that I found hwbot to be questionable if not deceitful!

Aha, finally a good moment to use this account :)
Pointhore, as far as I know you're talking about the wPrime scores, right? We have had some online verification problems in the past and this might be causing problems here. Let me check with RichBa5tard about this and if indeed the invalid checksum is a problem caused by HWBot, I will verify the scores and apoligise to you.

Problem was indeed caused by checksum validation problems in the HWBot server. Verified them now :).

Much better :thumb: thanks.
I was doing a little research and found over 70 results submitted around the same time frame with invalid checksums like mine. That was just a small dent in the submitted results. I think it would upset alot of people if you had to delete them all. :yup:
Thanks for getting that cleared up.
