Well, much better than the Kinston HX4000 in terms of timings, but you'll need 2.8V??!!

I agree with you eva2000. It's the same thing here in Canada... we're always laggin behind the US and we're only separated by a boarder. Damn the free trade! :beat: :smash:

Hmm. Interesting, I was going to order a pair of 3700 Golds, but I guess now I will have to wait. :)

arent the pc4000 from ocz just 3700's with loose timings, i figure cause i can do ddr500 with 2.5-3-3-7 settings with my 3700 dual gold.

But then again, the chips they use are all Samsung 5ns RAM, so probably just better binning.

Yeah, given the relaxed timings and required higher vDimm, I'd say they are likely to be the same thing.

Doesn't Samsung have 4ns parts coming into the channel? I assume once that process is more mature, well see some pretty horrific stuff - which I had the $$ to blow on some new DDR...

I really haven't heard anything about new Samsung parts coming into the DRAM market...:o

Seems like Samsung's slipping, TwinMOS has 4.3ns parts on the market already.

July 14th Corsair announced thier version of the 500MHz memory. It seems to have much looser timing than the OCZ stuff. The gold heat spreader looks better also than the black Corsair one.

So I guess they are still playing catch up to some extent.

:o But the A-Data aren't just hand picked chips whereas the Corsair/OCZ are.

Imagine some handpicked A-DATA PC4000 chips!

How do u figure that? 2.5-4-4-7 isn't that much better than 3-4-4-8.
