Oh I definately will. I hope to have it under LN2 by this weekend. :D I am running the P5K deluxe and need to remount my vcore mod. :mischeif: Also need to flash to a newer bios to recognize the cpu properly.

Just an update for now. I am working on finding a bios to allow me to fully use the cpu. So far I am stuck with a mak multi of 11 and I know I will need 12-13. I have found various mobos seem to be capping the multi and some bioses are affecting it also. Once I can use the higher multi's I will go for LN2. ;)

Hmmm..... sounds like someone is expecting close to 6ghz :yikes:
Won't that board run 500+ fsb?

Nope not expecting 6 gig. The board will do 500 but I don't believe the chip will. ;) I am counting on 450 but also need a PLL mod. 450*12 will give me 5400. :D

Ahhh... will they clock higher at lower fsb?

Ahhh... will they clock higher at lower fsb?
That has been whats been told to me. Not sure if you remember the FX-57 days the guys pulling really high clocks used low fsb to do so. The reason being the memory controller being on die.

Well some quick runs on LN2. My soldering iron dies so I need a vmod......hopefully tomorrow. I am totally walled due to voltage 1.68 bios reading. Higher multi w/ lower fsb won't work. At least an improvement on two scores. I also made a faster 32wprime and was in the middle of a 1024 run but overpoured.

What is "overpoured" HB? Too cold, spillage...?

Too cold the temps dropped too far. I think once I can push 1.8-1.9v into this I should be good to around -120- -130 still sort of learning the chip. :thumb:

Harleybro get with he program - spillage is bad over-pouring is sort of bad to Just lucky that it was LN2 and not brew. So pleased for you that you have a great chip my friend Top Ten here you come

Ok going to be back at it. I did the vcore mod and went to run, surprise no-boot. :irk: Today I really started to try and figure what was going on. First pulled the mod, no go, then I pulled the vga, still no improvement, then I started to play with ram. For some weird reason the black slots no longer work but the yellow ones do. :mischeif: Mod back in place and insluated hope to be giving it a go shortly. :D

Thanks JL but my mobo might be on the way out. Last night I had tried it again and was plagued w/ bsods. I did beat my runs but crashed before I could screenie any of them. :irk: I might give it one more go tonight we'll see.

So now once again I am back on the black slots which refused to boot for me multiple times. :coocoo: I said why not and grabbed out the soldering iron and added a vmch mod. :D I cranked up the voltage to about 1.78 and booted right into windows but crashed at 4700. :yup: Hmmm checked my vcore and I had lowered it last time so back up it went to 1.78. A quick try on wprime and out pops 9sec flat. :D Next maybe the Vpll mod. :mischeif: Oh yeah btw this was at around -60c. ;)

JL it totally is. I was ready to sell the cpu a few days back and if the offer came through it would have been gone. The last few months have been that way for me. I have had so many mobo's die that mysteriously started working (after multiple tries) 3-4 days later. If this weekend proves nothing new then I must give up (at least I keep telling meyself that :rotflmao: )

pretty cool, I must say :D what a monster of a Quad, darn if I had the money... but you know Jay. :p
on a side note: CPU-Z seems to guess the voltage right... how come? My 1.41 beta doesn't have a clue.

More playing again. I am not sure if the mobo is holding me back or this is it for the chip. Everything has been under -70c so it's definately a great dice/water chip.
First some 06 testing:
7354 is very good for these clocks and should be 20th in FM hall of fame for cpu score.:mischeif:
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h140/harleybro/7354.jpg
I have also done wprime 1024 at this speed but crashed on the save :irk: I had one wprime in at 9.840 I think it was the same where the 1024 crashed on me.
