Here's my setup:

P4 3.0C @ 3.225
Abit AI7
2 x 512MB OCZ PC3200
Radeon X800 XT PE ~ 1 Molex
WD Cavier JB - 80GB
CDRW
DVD
~2 case fans, CPU fan, NB fan

My PSU is an Antec True(Power) 380. I just want to make sure that this PSU will be big enough. I understand that if I add another drive, more fans, etc, that I will have to upgrade. But for now, should this be okay? I might slightly O/C the X800 too.

I read in Maximum PC that a system with more drives, P4 EE, ... ran a 6800 Ultra on a 400w Sparkle with no problems. Since the X800 draws alot less average (and about 20w less peak), and I have fewer drives, lower wattage CPU, will 380w be good?

One more thing. I don't want to stress the PSU too too much, eva2000 said something about blowing it up! :look:

Thanks for input

Id recommend upgrading, an Antec true power 550 is a great supply and only about a 100 bucks or so.

Well, I'm not looking to upgrade, I just want to know if it will do it. I don't have the cash to upgrade, so if it will, without endagering my system, then I'll keep it. I'm entering college in a couple of months, so unlike some of the career oriented forum-posters, I have zippo cash flow.

If you use your current psu just keep a eye on your voltages under full load. If they seem like they are low then a new PSU may be a must.

Very good idea! If wattage gets too much under, say, 3dmark and prime, then the voltage would drop. I will definately do that. Thanks.
