Less then 1 point away! Update Now 18th Place!!

well have been checking Hwbot and the team is now less then 1 point away from taking 20th place overall. :rock: :rock: :beer: I am now back out for a few days after the Super Pi run today I disassembled my rig to dry. Once it was dry I reassembled to go for a +5gig PiFast run. Two tries and it wouldn't start then it did with a poof of smoke out of the top of the mobo. I am surprised noone has called the fire dept. with all the smoke from my mobos lately. No apparent reason or cause it had been running fine and there was no water in the area of the smoke. :scratch: Guess it's time for the P5K now. :mischeif:

Thought about it but whenever I had let the smoke out of a part in the past I have never been able to get it back in again. :chit:

We had dropped back to 21st. I checked the scores posted by only one member in the team ahead of us and found over 40 points of invalid links and improper screenshots. I posted about them in the result moderation of the hwbot forums and they were all blocked. We are now back in 20th. It makes you wonder how many more are no good? :scratch:

I just got my other processors from UPS today, so I should have a few more points for us up this evening :) Now I just need 6/11 to pass so I can file my taxes, get my refund, and order all the real upgrade stuff I've been waiting on!

Edit: whiskey won the day, so new cpu's get to wait. Friends don't let friends overclock drunk.. but installation is another story :lol:

there needs to be a new law for OUI - overclocking under the influence...

they make those breathalyzer things for your car so that if your blood alcohol is too high, it won't start.... they should do the same thing for your computer... so your computer can't start if your blood alcohol is too high.

i'm sure this would save people A LOT of money on killing hardware!!! :D

how about the breathalyzer to get into the bios.. if you blow over the limit, you're stuck at stock settings. That way you can still surf the net and get into other trouble :lol:

As for killing hardware under the influence, that's basically why I got these new cpu's ;) They're definitely a step down from my main cpu, they're just seriously under represented on hwbot. (Almost) free hwboints for the team!

We're only 0.8 ahead of 21st place right now, even with the 8 or so boints I got last night. We might dip to 21st for a moment, but I have a different processor to drop in tomorrow, so I should be good for another 8 or so once my better half flies off for the weekend and I have time to play.. If all goes according to plan, I might be able to squeeze some more out of the 3500 have in right now, after I get the easy boints from the 3400 tomorrow.

I just have joined the BE Hwbot team and there should be a 32~33 point increase for the team.:)

Hopefully I will have my Q6600 under some DICE runs later this week.
