I captured 2hrs of MTV2003 awards in mpeg2 (11+GB file) which i then used dvd2avi to save project so i could load it in TMPGenc 2.513 to convert to a single DVD-R disk with motion search set to high and noise and ghost filtering enabled.

TMPGenc completed the task in 27hrs 14mins (using pc below) but resulted in 2 new files, 1 wav file and 1 *.m2v file

Now i don't know what to do next, as i specified output file to be .mpeg ???

pc used:

P4 2.8C@3262mhz
Albatron PX865PE PRO2
2x 256MB OCZ PC3700Gold@233mhz 2-3-3-7 dual channel
128MB Xmicro GF4 Ti4200 VIVO@default
2x 120GB WD 1200JB raid 0 on onboard Promise raid controller
1x 80GB WD 800JB
520W Topower PSU

My suggestion would be get a program like virtualdub at www.doom9.net and then you open the file (.m2v) then go into video pull down menu and choose direct stream...this will keep it from trying to re-encoding it which it doesn't need..it just needs to merge the audio and video....Then go into audio pull down and choose wav file and then direct to the file....then go into file and save file.....

It will merge the two and as long as the program did not have them out of synch or a delay like some dvd movie audio tracks have it should be flawless and rather quick 2-5min....

nanub, virtualdubmod, and virtualdub are all programs alon g that line as aI described above....
