Hey all, I was wondering what device I would need in order to hook my Xbox and any other video device to my computer. I think this will work, but im unsure:

I think this is what I want. I want to be able to watch T.V. and watch DVD's, play Xbox, etc. I currently have my home theatre hooked up to my PC via my Sound Blaster Audigy2 ZS Platinum Pro so I'm getting kick butt sound, but I also would like to be able to do all the listed stuff above. THX!

That would work according to the specs...You basically need the svideo in or the composite video in....the sound can hook directly to the audigy line in...
Now with the cable CATV to the card there has to be a audio out of that card to the line in on the sound card...The only question will it be externally or internally between the cards....
Avermedia makes a good software as well that may give you some good pvr like type options...

OK, well after alittle searching I think I found what I need:

It has an audio out, which I obviously need. But my question is, which I'm not to clear on, is that I will be able(after card installation, etc, etc...) to just hook up my Xbox and be able to play full stream, not record video of it, but accually play it.

All you will be able to do is view it on the monitor. You still have to use gaming console and gaming controllers you are just not using a conventional TV to view it. You can send the audio to soundcard and depending on its ability can listen to the games in surround sound.
The TV tuner has some functionality in the since you can change the chanel with the added remote but everything else is just sending the image to the monitor and that is it.
I think of the option for the college kid who has a PC but not room for a TV and thus he uses it as his TV for viewing TV and viewing his gaming console on.
