Newbe here, I was hoping someone could inform of the proceedure in being able to read one's cpu and motherboard temps and tests while overclocking a new computer that is yet to be connected to the internet. What are the best software devices such as memtest and cpuz to use? And what are the best ways to up load them into the new system for the best results. thanks for any help that you can give. :)

Give speedfan a try. It should download as a self extracting exe file (extract the files to a folder you made for it then run the install or setup file) or even as simple as an install file (just double clcik and it runs).

Once it is installed then run the program. It will take the readings from the sensors. Some of the readings will be way off simply because they are not present. You can ignore these.

Once you start seeing readings you need to try and figure out which is which and you can relabel them as necessary (ex. cpu and motherboard).

ITE's SmartGuardian program is on the CD the board came with and can be customized as well.

Speedfan (http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php) as Snafu mentioned is also a very good program and very popular.

Everest home edion (http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4181.html) is another good one.

MBM5 (http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=311) works well to.

Personaly I use Speedfan. Hopes this helps
