So...
I managed to kill a 9800 NP with a volt mod... (my fault).
I have a 9700 pro that i figure would last me a while... stops working after 2 months.
I RMA it and get a new one that doesn't even work properly (has blocky lines).
While waiting, I get a 9600XT to hold me over.
The 9600 XT doesn't work after a few days... (no mods.. no overclock).
Get a new 9600XT (returned it to bestbuy)...
After almost 2 months... it stops working...
What's interesting is that all these problems started as soon as I switched over to my nforce3 board... and now i have an nforce2 board....
so am i cursed? or is my nforce boards somehow secretly killing my cards (hehehe....)?
a mystery i will never figure out...

and guess what? my board won't boot up!!! WOO HOO!
now i'm victim of the dfi infinity bug!

Jeez shimmishim....hope you aren't cursed....we may have to ban you before you bring BE down also!!! :look::yikes:;):p:D
When you volt mod, there is a high chance you will make a little mistake once in a while. Sorry to hear about the issue. . . . :(

but how does a vdimm volt mod affect the agp slot?
here's the problem... or what was the beginning of the problem...
i noticed that the colors on my planar LCD was weird... i mean everything would run but the colors seemed a bit off...
i had my crt plugged in as well but the display (colors) were perfectly fine...
then after a reboot, i got these funny colors...
the thing is sometimes when i boot up my dfi, the colors get scrambled on my lcd and the lcd stops working until i can make the screen flash by loading a game or something then the monitor will come back on...
now this issue was even before i had done any volt mods to the board...
a few days before it died, my computer kept giving me errors of some sort whenever i'd play warcraft 3... (monitor would shut off but computer would still be on)...
figured it was the video card but after testing out the 5900XT in the system, i've determined that the agp slot is broke...
so yeah... if someone can tell me if the vdimm voltage and agp slots are correlated somehow then that would give me some insight on if the vdimm mod (the max i ran the vdimm at was 3.55 from the bios max of 3.3 so it wasn't THAT much higher) was the culprit for my boards death...

I was about to say it's your board :irk: I'm an ATI Catalyst Beta Tester and have only seen a few cards since I've been doing it (awhile lol) that actually where not a compatability problem or seperate hardware issue. ie board and card or a psu issue.

blah... i dunno what it was... basically the board is dead now, the display works fine and i have a new board :)
