I'm with you! Half-Life is still my favorite game of all time! I can't wait for HL-2. I downloaded that big mofo movie the day it came out.

I don't really think that Doom 3 and Half Life 2 are in any kind of competition. I know I will personally be buying both as will most gamers. I will buy Doom 3 for the graphical innvoation and Half Life 2 for the storyline, facial animations, and AI. The cartoon is very true though as everyone thought Doom 3 would be the only game in the spotlight until its release. Half Life 2 looks VERY promising :) Just hope they can keep thier September release date.
