Star Wars: Galaxies!

Picked up a copy of this game over at Walmart the other day. I just wanted to let everyone know that it rocks. Until now, I hadn't been able to find any good MMO games because I am not really into fantasy. You get one month free with the game and then it is $14.99 (kinda steep) for every following month. It also looks awesome visually. My 9800 Pro chokes at 1600x1200x32 without ANY ansio and only 2x anti. Even if you aren't into Star Wars, the game is a load of fun. Last night I decided that I was bored creating weapons (I am an Artisan) so I went into town (Corellia) looking for some action. We got a group of about 20 people togther and just roamed the countryside raising hell and watching people crap themselves hoping the group wouldn't attack them. Never had so much fun playing a video game. Anybody else here play it? :)

After Motor City Online I took a vow to never play another MMOG. That game had a good 3 months then took a turn towards the dumper and never turned back around.

I heard all about that fiasco. EA had to shut the game down cause there weren't enough players and it wasn't making them any money. ALOT of my friends that played the game (gearheads) were mega ****ed off about it. I couldn't even imagine what I would do if Lucasarts shut down SWG. It is the only game that has cured my Morrowind addiction - I haven't played Morrowind for three weeks :eek: You should really give it a chance Jeff cause there is no chance in hell that Lucasarts is going to be able to rip this game from the hands of hundreds of thousands of rabid Star Wars junkies. This game is here to stay. Try it, I promise you'll like it. :)
