Question about Linux iso images

I used to use Red Hat Linux 7 a couple of years back to do my university programming assignments on the logic that if my program compiled and ran in Red Hat then it would definitely compile and run on the school server where I had to submit it. My colleagues who used CodeWarrior on Windows were not that fortunate!

I wanted to download the latest version of Red Hat Linux to actually learn more about it, however, it appears that it has been replaced by the Fedora Project. Is anyone running this?

Anyhow, I notice that the following files are available for download from the Red Hat site:

OK, the FC2-i386-disc1.iso to FC2-i386-disc4.iso are the images that I need to create install CD's for this version of the Fedora Project, however, what are the "SRPMS" images?
