create a 6.1 output

hey guys, I new here, i see this is a good forum. so I was looking for a long time a page or something to make a 6.1 output, this is because I have a 6.1 sound card and to buy a new 6 pc speakers is too expensive. so anyone know how to make one or a reference page please!!!!!

As sodface wrote, what exactly do you want? You have a soundcard that supports 6.1 Surround but don't want to get a 6 peice system of speakers? :scratch: Don't you need 6 peices to make it work. . . :scratch:

6.1 requires 7 speakers - the 0.1 = the subwoofer

Although your card supports 6.1 you should not have to install (buy) all 7 speakers. Most sounds cards support lower settings such as 2.1 (= 2 speakers + sub) under Sounds in the Control Panel.

Although my sound card supports up to 5.1 I can set it to 2.1 and head phones as well. The user guide with the card or specifications on the makers web-site should tell you what other settings are supported.

look, you know that you can put a radio using a input jacks and the other way Rca cable (red and white), ok I have that :na: , but as you know I am transmiting 2.1 channel right. OK, NOW I whant to make that output that reponse 6.1 channels. I have 6 separated speakers (sony) and i whant to make my own 6.1 complete system. is you need more splicity, please make an apointment to the doctor please!! :beat:

ohhh I forgot, I looked ion the entire web and no luck. another thing or tip is this @I whant to make a reciever by my own, like my radio, in 6 channel mode@ more clarity way!

matrix, the guys are just trying to help by figuring out exactly what you're trying to do. We may or may not be able to help you, but I guarantee you'll get no help with salty comments. I've read thru your posts a few times now, and I still don't understand what you're trying to do....

ok, maybe into words is really dificult, but this is it. I have an integrated 6.1 sound card very good one, I whant to use it in 6.1 channel but I dont have the for example a sound system like logitech zx 620 that have 6 speakers and one subwoofer. I whant to make that thing by my self, beacuse those systema are too expensive. I whant to make a plug or something that makes me make my own 6 channel system. thats the thing I whant :thumbs: . so when I connect my created system, playind my games in 5.1 or 6.1 channel, so I can hear shots in the LF and Left speakers (for example) and screamings in the front and others speakers as an example.

Most of the 6.1 systems have an integrated amplifier built into the subwoofer to power the satellite speakers. You should be able to use the analog outputs on your sound card with any number of self-powered speakers.

You could, for instance, get a set of normal PC speakers and hook them into the front channel, then later on get another set and hook them to the rear channel. Then find a powered sub-woofer and connect it to the sub channel.

This would not be the best solution, but it would work. The major drawback would be, having to adjust the speaker volume separately until it sounds good.

If you wanted to buy a 6.1 system, what would your price range be?

ROTORHEAD!!! you really had a machine in that head, that is what I whant to do!!!. I am looking or maybe there must be a cable like the one I was told that have a jack in one side and 6 diference cables like cables of a system(black and red) there must be one. the problem is I am from here, I am from Dominican Republic!!! we really have probs whit the economy right now, 1 dollar -45 pesos. before 4 years 1 dollar - 18 pesos , now you see the diference right!!!! and some PC speakers here are too old. I would like to find a woofer that have 6 ways speakers out and my prob is solved, but its hard here. So thats why I whant to make my own and learn new stuff!!!!

I honestly don’t know if there is a cable like that.
