Any good programs to test network transfer speed ? Trying to test transfer speed on a gigabit network :)

I am not 100% sure because I don't know exactly what you are looking for, but Sisoft Sandra 2002 has a network bandwidth benchmark within it's suite of tests. It can be downloaded HERE (http://downloads-zdnet.com.com/3120-20-0.html?qt=sandra&tg=dl-2001). Sorry if it isn't what you are looking for. :(

did you try AIDA32?

it has some sort of network bench.

yea bunch of new stuff in v3.70 ~ check the plugins drop down menu.

Netstat Live (http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/network/nsl.htm) by AnalogX. It's a freebie and a good one. I've been using it for years.

Another good one is Dumeter (http://www.dumeter.com/) but it's not free.

well finally had a chance to run Aida32 3.70's network benchmark pretty cool

result was approximately

min: 27MB/s
max: 37MB/s
av: 34.5MB/s

master pc
2.4B@2400
P4G8X
2GB XMS3200C2
4x 80GB WD 800JB (2x in raid 0)
1 x 80GB Barracuda IV
1 x 120GB WD 1200JB
Netgear GA302T Gigabit NIC

slave pc
2.4C@3264
IC7
2x 512MB XMS3500C2@218mhz 2-3-3-6
1 x 120GB WD 1200JB
Netgear GA302T Gigabit NIC

connected via Netgear GS104 4port 10/100/100 switch
