Just thought i'd populate this forum with some good old PATA Raid benchies :)

Highpoint RocketRaid404 v3.01 bios/drives
4 x 800JB in Raid 0

2.4B@2.66mhz
P4PE 1002 bios
512MB XMS3200C2@197mhz 2-3-3-6
64MB Gainward GF3 Ti200@default 200/450
WinXP PRO with NTFS 16k cluster
PCI Latency = 64

16k stripe size test is at AGP/PCI = 73/36
64K stripe size test = 73/36

64k stripe size Winbench99 v2.0 disk transfer

120+ MB/s!

so winbench99 is better raid benchmark than hdtach and drivebench and ATTO i guess

hey eva2000...awesome stuff you got there...a lot of info...but i have one suggestion is to have a brief conclusion or explaining of your results...and maybe personal opinions on the set ups...

nice job

You wouldn't happen to know how to use iometer? ATTO and HDTach are not as nearly as good as iometer but it seems to be very hard to find out the proper settings to use it. iometer can be used in Windows or Linux. I'm stuck with 64k stripe with my controller (3Ware 7500-4lp). Using RAID5 on reiserfs.

Cool!
BTW, if you right click drag the burst slider in HDTach, it will display beyond 80 MB/s

yup 3ware 7500series are stuck on 64k stripe but winbench is better and showing closer to real performance
