Hello everyone.
I lately bought some 2*256 OZC pc3200 rev2 ram sticks and since i've put them in I have got a very unstable system.
I'm pretty sure its these ram sticks cause after i run memtest I got after the 2th run 125 errors.
Could this be due to my asus board or do i have bad sticks??

are your sticks ecc/registered? or non-ecc/ non-registered?

Dannykills,
What rev of the board do you have. Also what psu,cpu and what speed are you running the sticks at with what timings.

Also you may need more memory voltage and or vcore to stabilize it.

What revision is the board?
I have an a7n8x-Deluxe 1.04 and cannot run above 200fsb stable.. 200fsb requires that I use 2-3-3-x timings, also.. 2-3-2 and 2-2-3 will error after several hours and 2-2-2 will error like mad... even with vdd up to 2.0v (960ohm fixed resistor) I still get 12 errors for every pass of memtest test #5.
The revision is located next to "a7n8x-deluxe" between the pci slots.. its small and hard to read if your system is in a case ;)

Hi,
I have definitely heard that there may be a compatibility problem with those DIMMs from OCZ in this motherboard. (I have been doing a lot of browzing and I will find the details) I have unmatched DIMMs in my motherboard and have found out this board not the most accepting of ram manufacturers. Perhaps if nothing better works you caould try an Uber bios?

Hello dannykills,
Just to make sure we are talking the same thing kindly confirm that this is what you have by looking on the heat spreader and matching the part number:

Next question would be, since you bought those recently it appears ( and that they are manufactured discontinued ). Did you buy those new or on ebay for example. Hence are you sure they were 100% operational?
What is the timing that you are utilizing for the sticks?
What version of bios are you utilizing for this motherboard?
What is the motherboards fsb set at, according to the jumper setting on the board?
Lastly, have u tried running memtest with only 1 stick at a time, in order to see if you can pinpoint if by any chance the problem is cause by a particular stick?

Flash to 1010 bios. Or to 1010-B if you have a 2.0.
