Hello.

I have plans of building an AMD 64 3400 with a NEO FIS2R Board. I have a few questions Please.

Which Ram should I buy? Im confused as im reading that a lot of the good ram is not available anymore, so forth. Im not that interested in OCING, just want some nice fast ram.

I am currently waiting for the nvidia 6800 to come out and ive heard that will require a few extras to work. Does anyone know what kind of Power Supply I should get that will work with it?

Last question, if you can recommend a good case id appreciate it.

THanks.

First of all welcome to BE :welcome:

There are many good choices for ram, if your not overclocking look into some some good pc3200 that will run at nice timmings. OCZ and mushkin make very good ram that will run tight. THe new ocz EB line seems like the way to go at the moment.

For a pwer supply i like the antec true power and I ould not go below the 430.

When i look at a case i just make sure it is big and has good air flow with plenty of 80mm cut outs for fans.

Good luck on your build

Thanks. Would you recommend since im waiting for the new nvidia card to come out anyways to go ahead and wait for the 939 motherboards too?

All this stuff is rather confusing. :coocoo:

Im pretty new to it.

a64 is the first platform I didn`t jump onto when it first came out...instead i`m waiting for socket 939 too...and I`m glad I did.

hehe, I`m waiting for the 6800 too.
